I miss her every day! But I know she’s with uncle Jim … miss them both terribly… I’ll remember them always and all the adventures we shared..

On our 1st family trip to Florida. We stopped and stayed a few days. I remember as a boy being told don’t try to pet the cat it will attack! Playing in the backyard and being told. Watch out Mr. Strickland will be coming through because his car doesn’t have reverse! Years later on college spring break I was  welcomed into your home to spend the night like it had only been a year or two since I was last there. Rest In Peace❤️ Tom Hansen (Nancy’s  son)

I have so many special memories with Aunt Judy.  I will cherish them all forever. We had so many great times! Great memories of our trips to Aunt Judy’s for Easter vacation when I was young. Taking us to Disney World and Ponte Vedre beach and collecting sharks teeth. When I stopped with my college friends, the trip Lou and I made in 1989.  All the trips when Aunt Judy came to visit us. We always got so excited when she was coming to New York usually in the summer and always wearing a cardigan.   We New Yorkers never understood that,  but now as Floridians we do.  Playing card games!  Golf cart rides at the campground. The list is long. She always had an open door just welcoming me and later my children. She opened her home and family to Amanda when she was alone in Florida. She was my mom’s best friend and I know they are together.  She was so full of love to share. I have two angels looking over me and my family.  I will miss her and I cherish all the great memories. 

My special memory of Aunt Judy was when I was a little girl. Uncle Jimmie and her had made there annual venture north to visit their Strickland family in eastern NC. 
Alongside of my mother, and I,  Aunt Judy had the largest eggplants I’d ever seen before. I asked her what we were going to do with those. And, she asked me if I’d ever had eggplant Parmesan before....which I hadn’t. 
Together, we cut up the eggplant and placed them in the baking dish, per Aunt Judy’s guidance. We cooked the dish, and later ate. 
It was the best Italian food I’d ever had. To this day, everytime I eat eggplant Parmesan, I’m reminded of my sweet Aunt Judy. 

Hello Mom, it's Jeff checking in (aka The Baby). I have to say and we all know that I have never been short of something to say, but this time was very difficult. First let me say I love you, it's not the same down here without you. The impact you have made in our lives is immeasurable. In all of my close to 56 years I have always felt loved and protected. Mom, your sacrifice for all the lives you have touched will live on in memory far beyond our years. I believe if someone were to describe your presence on this earth it would be angelic. Yes, I guess you can say I am biased, but just read through all the memories left by family and friends on this site and you will agree.
Mom, I thank you for.......well....everything. It's said that nobody loves you like your Mama and no truer words have ever been spoken. The only thing I feel was left unattended, is my apology for disrupting your shopping plans on April 5th, 1965. It was obvious that I was ready to take my place as son number three and yes upstage Joe and JJ as the baby. I know this because I was reminded every year on my birthday of just that......1:00 pm doctors visit and instead of off to the mall, it was off to the hospital. Mom you would share that story with a loving spark in your eye and I will always know that April 5th 1965 was one of the most cherished days in your life.
Mom, please know that God's purpose in you has been fulfilled, there is nothing left unattended. Also Mom, please know that Dad is in good hands, Joe and I are on the job now. Like all of us, he is taking each day one at a time. We all love you and miss you deeply. Even though you are not present anymore, you are surely here. Yes, here in every memory, every tear, every thought, and here in every breath.
I will be checking on you in prayer and take comfort that you are in the most glorious company that all of us can only imagine.
Please say hi too everyone up there and tell Jesus thank you for coming into all of our hearts.

Was not long after marrying Teri that her family then became my family. I still remember 1st meeting Aunt Judy and Uncle Jim on a vacation trip/stop over to Florida. I knew then that our relationship and friendship would evolve to what it is today. We had 40 years of great times and laughs whenever we got together. I always looked forward to when Aunt Judy came up to visit. When I’d come down at 530a for work she’d be up reading, she’d look up and say with a cheer “good morning john” what a nice way to start my day ! As much as I tried I don’t believe I ever beat her getting up ... lol. She sure got me into that antiquing and wow I was her grasshopper being such a rookie. She’d say look real good John because the finds are many times buried among the silly stuff. You need patience too. We could go for hours and maybe days for just one thing but we all were cheering when found and laughing about it back in car. Us northerners sure loved Aunt Judy and will miss her dearly and daily.

I really enjoyed hanging out with Judy (Mom as we called her when hanging out with Jeff) on so many occasions.  She really understood my dry sense of humor and she treated me like I was just another member of the family.  I'm going to miss our trivia nights.  Condolences and prayers for Jimmie, Joe, Jeff and the rest of the Strickland and Grant extended families. She will be missed but we know where she is, and who she is currently surrounded by.  I'll see her again someday.

I was only 9 years old when my brother Jim married Judy but I still remember our mom telling me about it! I have memories of Judy being very kind and always smiling, when Jim brought her home to meet us. When they left, I wanted to go along and live with them! I only grew to love and cherish Judy more through the years. Thank you, precious Judy for loving my big brother with all your heart for all these years and thank you for being such a special daughter-in-law to our mom and sweet sister-in-law to me!

Aunt Judy was such a special person in my life. Especially after my Grandma (her sister Carol) passed away and I had moved to Florida, Aunt Judy helped fill that empty space.  I always knew my Grandma would have been so happy that I was able to develop a special relationship with Aunt Judy. Aunt Judy always had her home open for me to visit and brought the whole Strickland family together when I came to visit so I could spend time with everyone. I loved spending time with Aunt Judy over the years, and will especially cherish the extra special Florida memories we made. 

This photo was from December 2018, we visited Aunt Judy and Uncle Jim in Jensen Beach, FL. She always invited me to come visit them when they had their beach stays up and down Florida's east coast. 

I love you so much Aunt Judy, I will forever be grateful for how much you loved me. You will be missed so much but forever live in our hearts and minds. Love always, Amanda 

I will always remember my Aunt Judy as my Florida Mom.  When I looked in her eyes,  I would see my Mom. She always opened her arms and her doors for us.   I am saddened that she has passed but filled with joy knowing she will enjoy eternal life with our Lord and Savior.  She is healed,  and reunited with My Mom,  Grandpa,  JJ, and all who went before her.  I know she's a shining star for all of us,  especially Laura and Olivia,  she loved them so very much.  She was so proud of her sons.  She'd love to talk about Jeff, and Joe, and last time I saw her she shared with me the beautiful tribute Jeff had made her for JJ.  A mom couldn't have been prouder or loved her family more.  Uncle Jimmy,  I have always admired you. I pray that you have healing and peace.  I can't imagine your level of sadness knowing it is so much deeper than mine. Please know how much we love you.  What a beautiful life Aunt Judy- A life well lived.  

My Aunt Judy was amazing.  Her love has been a constant throughout my life, and as my family grew, she always went out of her way to make sure they knew they were loved too.  
She and Uncle Jim welcomed us into their home on our way to a Disney Cruise  - we were even able to join in a big family dinner when we arrived - we made some wonderful memories during that visit.  
She’d remember our birthdays and always made us feel special and loved by sending a card in the mail.
Truly one of the greats - my heart hurts missing her.
We are so lucky and blessed to have had her love and support in our lives.

Our family was blessed with Aunt Judy. She opened her home to everyone over the years.. our Florida retreat. I especially relied on our friendship after my mother passed . She readily filled those shoes.I’ll always remember “ my dragon” as a very special person in my life.Many memories will be cherished by us all.She will be missed. Our last family gathering in Angelica at my brother ,Charlie’s home. Sharing photos and memories .

My sister Judy was a beacon of light through her childhood days and all the way through her whole life.  If I had to pick my sister, I couldn't have done a better job than what Judy was throughout my life.  Judy was a very kind and loving sister.  One could not help but to be with her.  My heart is saddened with her passing but I know she gives me strength and courage to continue on.    I will miss her deeply.  May her new journey be blessed with love and happiness  Your loving brother, David

I have always thought of Judy as my Sister-in-LOVE!!!  She was a joy to be around.   She had a good sense of humor and laughed at my "corny" jokes.

I will miss her, but will see her again in heaven.  I thank God for bringing her and Jimmie together over 60 years ago. 

 Sister Judy, you will be missed, but not forgotten.  Love you Much!❤️

Bre and I are very saddened by Judy's passing. She was a wonderful lady and we will always remember the Easter gatherings, dinner outings and other family events we had with her. We will most especially remember the butternut squash she made and always sent us home with extras. She will be missed. God Bless Jimmy, Jeff, Joe and the rest of the family in these difficult times.
