Julia F. O'Keefe

Julia F. O’Keefe, 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2013. Born in Bishopville, SC, she was the former Julia F. Kelley, a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps and an RN at several hospitals in Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ, most notably the Cripple Children's Hospital.

Mrs. O'Keefe is preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Floy Kelley; husband, Lt. Col. Francis A. O’Keefe; son, Francis “Frank” O’Keefe, Jr.; and sister, Lalla G. Brundage, she is survived by her daughter, Eileen Richardson; daughter-in-law, Beth Kaput; brother, David Kelley (Matty); brother-in-law, William “Bill” Brundage; grandchildren, Steve, Sean, Ryan (Megan), Amanda and Emily; one great grandchild on the way; along with many loving family members and friends.

Following full military honors, Mrs. O’Keefe will be laid to rest with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
