Karen Elizabeth Wallace

Karen Elizabeth Wallace, 51, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013. She was a native of Auburndale, Florida and had lived most of her life in Jacksonville. Karen enjoyed going to the beach, fishing, hanging out with friends and family and she never met a stranger anywhere she went. She especially loved her grandkids. She was preceded in death by a brother, Brian Bruce and sister, Deborah Bruce. Survivors include her life partner, Steve Knowles; her four children, Daniel Hersh (Casey), Cristina Hersh (Steven), Belinda Hersh and Johnathan Hersh; daughter-in-law, Ashley Hersh; eight grandchildren, Duane, Alexia, Daniel, Kelby, Falyn, Leland, Gracieanna and Ashya; her father, Lowell Bruce; her mother, Dorthea Schwenn; two brothers, Darryl Bruce and John Bruce (Alice); one sister, Darlene Shannon; sister-in-law, Cheryl Bruce; numerous nieces and nephews, other loving family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 pm Monday, March 25 in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue. The family will receive friends beginning at 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
