On July 14, 2018 our mother, Katherine (Kay) Revels Harrison, entered Heaven’s gates to find rest in the arms of Christ, her Lord and Saviour and was reunited with her beloved husband, Jim who was called home on November 16, 2018. They made a noticeably great team to those who met or knew them.
Kay was born October 10, 1925 in Mayo, Florida to Clayton E. Revels, Sr. and Thelma Long. Mom grew up to be a humble, gentle lady who was kind and with a gentle spirit. In 1948 she married James L. Harrison, Sr. and together they raised 2 children, Kay worked to help Jim through undergraduate and graduate schools at FSU, as well as Law school at University of FLA. She was a woman of great faith who had a heart for the poor or struggling people brought to her attention, and always found a way to quietly and with persistence, make their lives better.
Kay’s children, James L. Harrison, Jr. (Debi) and Barbara Harrison Scarberry (Mike) celebrate her life and love, as do 7 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
