Katherine K. Thompson (Age 72) of Reston, VA, died on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Reston Hospital. Loving wife of the late Francis C. Thompson, Jr.; devoted mother of Susan Lassiter and her husband, Robert; cherished grandmother of Lauren and Matthew Lassiter and sister of Susan Khoury Dickson and her husband, John Dickson.
Katherine retired as a first grade school teacher for the Fairfax County Public School System.
Relatives and friends are invited to Katherine’s Life Celebration at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 11900 Lawyers Rd., Reston, VA 20191 on Wednesday, November 25. Viewing 10 a.m., Mass of Christian Initiation Burial at 11:00 a.m.
A graveside service and interment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery 4300 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32207, on Saturday, November 28 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John Neumann Ministry to Children at the above address.
