Kathryn Ashley (Laidman) Asble. Born October 18, 1985 in Jacksonville, Florida, passed peacefully at her home in St. Augustine, Florida on March 17, 2018. Katie graduated from Englewood High School in 2004 and worked for the Coggin Automotive Group until October 2013. She was a stay-at-home mother the last four years. Katie fought a courageous battle against Multiple Myeloma from November 2013 until her passing. Her strength and determination have been an inspiration to everyone she touched. Katie loved spending time with her family and friends and she loved her animals – Sierra, Marley, Teddy and Nala. She liked to travel and always lived life to its fullest.
Katie is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Zachariah; two beloved daughters, Alyssa and Mikayla; loving parents, Stephen and Barbara Laidman; brothers, Kurt, Craig (Kimberly) and Keith Laidman and many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Nicole Sprague; grandfather, Charlton Clark and grandparents, Eric and Norma Laidman.
The family wishes to thank Zack’s mother, Sandy Asble for being a loving caregiver; their dear friends and neighbors, Ivey and Kyle Schulkers, for all their help and support; Live for Today Foundation for sending the family on an amazing trip to Disney World just two weeks before Katie’s passing; the caring staff at Community Hospice and to all the doctors and nurses who cared for Katie over the past 4 years.
