Kelby obtained an Associates Degree in Computer Science and was employed as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, listening to music or science fiction audiobooks, traveling, spending time at the beach, cooking and entertaining, scotch and cigars. Recently, Kelby was developing an interest in deep sea fishing which was going to be his next adventure. Most of all he valued his time with family and friends and was there to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Kelby was preceded in death by his Granny Dahl. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Cassell; parents, Kathy and Art Stone of Boise, ID, parents-in-law, Steve and Linda Chastain of Fairmount, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Art & Sue Stone of Laguna Niguel, CA; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and John Catanzaro of Boise, ID; step-daughter and son-in-law, Brittany and Justin Long, step-daughter, Brooke Holt and her partner, Tim Reed; nieces, Christy Zuehl and Jordin Catanzaro; nephew, Mark Stone; and step-grandchildren, Ayden, Kayleigh, Kinsley, Nickolas, Emma, and Kaiyden. He is also deeply missed by Pepper and Loki, his fur-babies.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Kelby’s life on Saturday, June 29 from 6-8 p.m. in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32223.
