

BRISCOE – Kenneth E. Briscoe, 76, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015. Born in Monroe, GA, he was raised in the Boston, MA area, hence his love of the Red Sox and Patriots. Ken had a varied career over the years, but retired from a second career at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home as Crematory Manger. A veteran of the US Marine Corps, Ken was known for his love of country and always had a history lesson for any occasion. He was Past Master of Mocana Lodge, #329, in Orlando and was an avid model railroader. He was predeceased by his 1st wife, Mary and 2 daughters, Paula Strickland and Linda Lang. His surviving family includes: his wife, Diana; 3 daughters, Debra (Robert) Harris, Rhonda (Tommy) Freeman and Sandra Baker; a son, Kenneth T. (Tamara) Briscoe; 2 step-daughters, Jessica and Julie Wright; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren and his dog, Princess. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Ave., with Rev. F. Ray Turner officiating, followed by Masonic rights. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made, in his memory, to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
