Kevin Leggett Hughes was born to Emmitt Lee and Evelyn Leggett Hughes on September 2, 1952. He was a graduate of William M. Raines, class of ‘69, and continued studies at the University of Florida where he earned a BA in Criminal Justice. He later served in the US Army at West Point and returned to Jacksonville where he worked for the City under Mayor Hazouri as Director of EAP, for the Urban League and Southern Bell. After over a decade, he retired as an Ultrasound Technician. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Hughes, brother, Frank Hughes, 5 children, 4 grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Private services will be held on Monday, July 15th, 11 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
