He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Daniel Brugh, and grandson Michael Winpigler. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Brugh; sister Ann (Brugh) Speas; son, Chris Brugh (Eugena); daughters, Sherri McGaha, Sabrina Winpigler (Chris), and Sherryl Adsit; grandchildren, Brandy McGaha, Christopher Winpigler, Ryan Adsit, Syara Brugh, and Savitri Brugh; great-grandchildren, Colby Winpigler, Mireya McGaha-Eastep, Ava McGaha, Olivia Yingling, and Emma Winpgler.
Larry was a United States Army veteran, serving 2 tours in the Vietnam War. He received his Master’s Degree at New Mexico State University and served his country for 25 years. He retired as a Lt. Col from the United States Army and continued to contract his Engineering services at SAIC for many years. Larry always found a way to find time on the golf course with his many friends and colleagues. As well, he was an avid hunter and spent many memorable trips hunting Elk in Colorado with his wife and friends. He loved to tell stories of his adventures and had a laugh you couldn’t soon forget. He will be greatly missed by his many friends, colleagues, and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 15, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Stewartstown Presbyterian Church in Stewartstown, PA. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. Lane 1 on Friday, July 27th in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
