Laurel Kaden Anderson

Laurel Kaden Anderson passed away peacefully Monday, March 21, 2016 after a long illness. Laurel was born January 8, 1949 in Jacksonville, Florida to Dave and Mariann Kaden. She devoted her life to education, receiving her undergraduate degree in elementary education from Florida State in 1971 and her masters in guidance and counseling also from Florida State in 1974, Laurel served as a counselor for Duval County Schools at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, later becoming supervisor of guidance services for the district. She married Rodney Anderson in 1987 and enjoyed many years of marriage and family with Rodney and his sons Andy and Michael. Those who knew Laurel will remember her zest for life and dedication to family and friends. She leaves behind to cherish her memory husband Rodney, stepsons Andy (Amy) and Michael (Joyce) and grandchildren Lilyanna Sydney, Reese Laurel and many friends. Peace be with you Laurel.
