

Lewis "Bud" Beville, a beloved husband, father, grandfather passed away surrounded by his family on October 20th, 2024 in Jacksonville, Florida. Born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 8th, 1942 to Mahmon and Bellma Beville. Bud was preceded in death by his parents and his son Michael Beville.
Bud is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Marsha Beville; daughter Diane (Jason) Geiger; grandsons Colby and Chase Geiger. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will be cherished forever.
Bud’s dedication to his country was evident during his service in the United States Army from 1963 to 1966, where he proudly served in the 1st Cavalry Division during the Vietnam War. He was honored with the Purple Heart for his bravery in the line of duty, a testament to his courage and commitment.
After returning from his military service, Bud retired as a Road Supervisor with the City of Jacksonville, where he dedicated 31 years to public service. He was well-respected by his colleagues and was known for his strong work ethic and integrity.
In his personal life, Bud found joy in many activities and had a love for helping animals. He was a member of the Radio Control Club of Jacksonville and held a private pilot license. Bud also cherished the time spent with his fellow veterans at McDonald's on Main Street and New Berlin Road, where he enjoyed sharing stories over coffee.
Family was at the heart of Bud’s life. He was a man of his word and one who never met a stranger. Bud always approached life with a warm smile and open heart. His love for his family and friends will be deeply missed.
In honoring Bud’s wishes, there will be no viewing. A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 North Main Street, on Friday, October 25th, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
