Lillian “Lil” Stella Bledsoe, 92, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2022. Born in Manchester, NH, she moved to Jacksonville with her parents.
She met her husband, Edward Bledsoe, shortly after moving to Jacksonville and they wed in 1953. Together, they had 4 children: Johnny, David, Susan and Linda.
Lil was a stay at home mom for many years. She was a master at cooking great meals for a big family on a budget and loved making holidays and summers special and memorable. She had a huge heart for animals and especially loved cats. She was a long time Sunday School teacher and choir member at Mayfair Baptist Church and San Jose Baptist Church. She was creative and gifted at flower arranging and worked as a floral designer once her kids were grown. She was kind-hearted, had a great sense of humor, and a love for new experiences and adventures. She was always fun and a joy to be around.
Lil is survived by her four children, John (Angela) Bledsoe, David (Terri) Bledsoe, Susan Phillips, Linda (Dale) Harper, 10 grandchildren, Amber and Johnathon Bledsoe, John (Briana) Bledsoe, Grant (Carly) Bledsoe, and Cody (Kayla) Bledsoe, Jessica Phillips, Rae Phillips, and Oliver Sapp, Lindsey (George) Evagoras and Peyton Harper, and 8 great-grandchildren, Miley Bledsoe, Lydia and Jacob Bledsoe, Hadley and Fisher Bledsoe, Beau and Ryleigh Bledsoe, and Stella Evagoras.
