Lillian Ruskin

RUSKIN-Lillian W. Ruskin, 85, passed away on May 6, 2008 after battling Alzheimer’s for several years. She was born in McKeesport, PA and was the only daughter of Andrew and Ellen Wicklund. She resided in Jacksonville since 1959 when not tanning on the beach at Ponte Vedra. Lillian was married to her husband, the late Ted Ruskin, a Southern Bell marketing manager, and is survived by her three children, Nancy, Ted and Scott; her 7 grandchildren: Leigh, Drew, Blake, Chris, Greg, Tanner and Chase; and her great grandson, Landon. She will always be remembered by her family and friends as a lover of the sun and fun of the beach, her involvement with her church, Glynlea Grace UMC and numerous other volunteer activities. The excitement of the Holidays whether it was Halloween, Christmas, or Easter was always a special time for her and her effervescent personality made instant friends with all she came in contact with. A Memorial Celebration service will be held this Saturday, May 10, at Glynlea Grace UMC at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers it is requested that a donation be made to Mom’s church, Glynlea Grace UMC.
