Linda Gomolka

Linda graduated as an Art Teacher from Monmouth University in New Jersey. However, her passion was Graphic Design. Linda held various positions in newspapers and medical advertisement in both corporate and freelance venues. She also taught preschool in Orchard Park, NY. Here in Florida, Linda was actively involved in Saint Johns Cares and chaired various charitable fund drives to include Dog Day Afternoon, The Giving Tree and Backpacks for the underprivileged. She was a member of the Bartram Trail New Comers and led the monthly nature walks. Linda was an accomplished skier, kayaker, canoer and loved to explore and go for walks in the woods.

Linda was preceded in death by their sons Kyle and Ryan and her father Byron. Linda is survived by Gerry her husband of 45 years, their son Jon, her mother Pat Martin, her sister Liz (Ron) Richards, niece Katie Richards, brother-in-law David Gomolka and her Aunt Henrietta Kerpet.

The Gomolka and Martin Family thank Baptist Medical Center South, MD Anderson and Mayo Clinic for all their support over the years. In lieu of flowers the families would appreciate donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

A visitation for Linda will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM at San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church, 1718 FL-13, Jacksonville, FL 32259.
