Linda loved her family and friends dearly. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, whether at Little Talbot Island in Jacksonville or Crescent Beach near St. Augustine, collecting sand dollars and shells. Linda also loved listening to live music and never passed up an opportunity to enjoy a live band.
Linda was predeceased by her father, Robert M. Dorsey (Bobby); her mother, Marie Cason Dorsey; and her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Thigpen.
She is survived by her sisters, Karen Elixson, Sandra Redmond, and Robin Clark (Robert); her sons, John R. Thigpen and Joseph G. Thigpen (Joey); her grandchildren, Gabriella Montanez (Gabby), Natalie Montanez (Franz), Heather Clendenen, and Jaycee Thigpen; and her great-grandchildren, Aliana Young and Ace Montanez. She is also survived by her ex-husband, Johnny Thigpen, along with several nieces and nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.
A Memorial Service for Linda will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 12:30 p.m., with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m., at Hardage-Giddens Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223.
