Linwood Earl Doane, age 93, passed away in peace on May 26, 2023 in Jacksonville, Florida. Linwood was born in Enfield, Maine and attended Howland High School. He joined the Air Force shortly after graduation. He was a member of the Enfield grangehall for many years. Linwood loved spending his summers at Cold Stream Pond where he resided in Maine. His children and grandchildren spent many summers here enjoying the peacefulness of the pond.
Linwood is survived by his wife of over 45 years, Patricia Doane and her family from Jacksonville. He had two children, David Linwood Doane, whom is deceased, and Douglas Scott Doane. He had two grandchildren, Dustin Linwood Doane and Deanna Kay Doane. He had one niece, Jane Cole, of West Enfield, Maine. Linwood was the youngest of five siblings, all of whom resided in Maine and have passed.
There will be a service held for Linwood on June 2, at 11:00 am at Oaklawn Funeral Home.
