

Lonnell Tommy L.T. Hogan, 79, a lifetime resident of Jacksonville, departed this life on August 9th 2011 after a lengthy illness. He was born on March 22, 1932 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Tiney and Lettie Hogan. He was predeceased by brothers Herbert Hogan, Curtis Hogan and sister Ferrell Hogan Harrison. L.T. is a graduate of Robert E Lee High school and was the starting nose guard of the 1950 state champion football team. He was offered an athletic scholarship by Auburn University and the University of Miami, but instead served in the U.S Air Force during the Korean War. He graduated from the University of Florida College of Business in 1958, while a member of Theta Xi Fraternity. He retired from State Farm Insurance as a Divisional Claim Superintendent and CPCU. L.T. was an active member of the Wesconnett Church of Christ for 33 years, serving as both a Deacon and Bible class teacher. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pearl Hall Hogan and daughter, Fran Mitchell, sons Dan (Karen) Hogan, and David (Mendie) Hogan. Grandchildren, Ryan (Michele) Mitchell, Kendal Mitchell, Melissa Hogan, Hannah (Tom) McFadden, Jack Hogan, Lon Hogan and Ben Hogan.
