Gilman Louis J. “Sonny” Gilman, Jr. age 70 died December 29th, 2013. He was born in Dublin, New Hampshire to Louis J. Gilman and Clemance A. Record Gilman. He was veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Vietnam War. Sonny was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Matthews Catholic Church, DAV Chapter 38 and VFW Post 7909. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 41 years ,Jackie, a son Mark Parent (Tina), grandchildren, Nicholas, Ryan, Laurin-Ashley, Fred, Tristen-Alexys , great grandchild, Michaela D. Harville, mother Clemance A. Gilman sisters, Theresa Hastings (Bryan), Beverly Most (Daniel), Jeanette Gilman, Denise Whitback (Robert), brothers Leonard Gilman, Kevin Gilman, Larry Evans. A memorial service to celebrate Sonny’s life and legacy will be held Saturday January 4th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Blanding Blvd Chapel 5753 Blanding Blvd Jacksonville, Florida 32244. In lieu of flowers the family requests that people make a donation to the charity of their choice in Sonny’s name. Arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Blanding Blvd. Chapel.

Hi papere! I miss you so much.. I just wanted to let you know how everyone is doing. Freddy is going to college, laurin graduated and is a medical intern, I moved out and have a loving family. I miss you more than anything in the world. I wish you were still here.....

Sometimes,there aren't any words. Sometimes their not needed. Our cousin "Sonny" was well loved. We all remember the wonderful visits back at aunt Cecilia's with Sonny, and the laughter.
