Lynn Rice Bizzell

Lynn Rice Bizzell was a caring wife, mother, sister and friend. She left this world on December 25th, 2021 in Jacksonville, Florida. Lynn was born in Jacksonville on September 25th, 1944. She passed away at the age of 77.

Lynn received her Bachelors in Education from Florida Southern college and went on to be an elementary school teacher for many years. Lynn was an excellent educator and loved to watch children learn and grow. She loved visiting the mountains of North Carolina with her husband, Clayton, to whom she was married for 33 wonderful years. Lynn was always quick with a joke and loved to spend her afternoons watching old movies. She was a devoted Methodist having attended Southside United Methodist and Swaim United Methodist for decades. Seems like everyone always had a funny story to share about Lynn. She will be dearly missed.

Lynn is survived by her son, Chris; and several other family members in Jacksonville, Melissa, Brian, Diane, Scott, Walter, Joan, Warren, Tommy, Dale, Pat and James.

A funeral service will be given by Pastor Phillip Short and is scheduled for Monday January 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery 4801 San Jose Blvd Jacksonville, Fla 32207. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Shriners Hospitals at the following address:
