Lynn Edward Smith

Beloved father, husband, papa, and friend to many. He was born to Betty L. Koehn and Max E. Smith in Greeneville, TN. Lynn moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1973. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joyce L. Smith; his son, Drew E. Smith; daughter-in-law, Yvonne D. Smith; daughter, Ginny L. Hartley; son-in-law, Randy P. Hartley; daughter, Audrey L. Smith; son-in-law- Bryan M. Akers; granddaughter, Emily Y. Smith; and very special friends, Gary Hartley and Lawrence Coarsey, Jr. He was a simple kind of man that enjoyed spending his time with family, cookouts and conversations with friends, hunting, dirt track racing, and had a passion for always helping others. A visitation will be held Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin from 6:00-8:00pm. (11801 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32223). A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Julington Creek Cemetery (5251 Race Track Rd. Saint Johns, FL 32259). After the service on Friday, all family and friends are invited over to Lynn and Joyce’s residence. We will be having a cook out and request that everyone bring a side dish if you are able to.
