To The Murray Children

I somehow came upon this obit for your dad, and could hardly wait to email you. First of all, I am so, so sorry about your Dad's passing, and prior your Mom's passing. Your Mom and Dad were very close friends of my Mom and Dad - Lydia and George Bauer. My Dad was an accountant and somehow helped your Dad find his first job. I also remember that all of us including my sister Nancy spent a day in Tallahasse at a lake or something like that. We lived on Ernest St., Jacksonville and your parents along with you and I think a sister and brother would visit us from time to time. Would love to hear from you. Again, your dad was one of a kind and so was your mom. Sandra Bauer.

Of all the awesome dads we had in Bridgewater Circle, Mr. Murray was the most awesome. Without his help and coaching I would not have been able to throw, catch or hit a baseball. My athletic ability was right up there with Charlie Brown, but Mr. Murray was always patient in his help. He seemed like he was one of us kids, just bigger and smarter. He is a major part of my fondest childhood memories. Playing football, baseball or basketball it seems like Mr. Murray was always with us. My thanks and love to the Murray family for sharing him with the rest of the Bridgewater Kids.

Skip and Lynn, so sorry to read of your dad's passing, although I'm sure he is in a better place. One of my favorite memories of your parents living across the street was seeing your mom go out every morning and get the car started and warmed up for your daddy. What a precious memory of her love for your father. I pray you have the comfort of Christ at this time and that you look forward to the day that you will be reunited with both of your parents. I remember both of you with great fondness. In Christ, Angela Evans Helms, St. Augustine, FL

Mack was 1 in a million!!! What a truly dedicated man and coach to many as we grew up. I did have the privilege of seeing him a couple months ago at Windsor. It was a wonderful meeting as we relived our glory days. He will always be remembered as a key person that influenced my life and was a great friend to my entire family. Thanks Mack for all your unselfish giving and being a role model for all us "little leaguers" that will always be grateful.

I want to add my condolences to the many that Mack's family will receive. I am sure that Fred, if he were still with us, would want to offer his as well. I remember the good old days as vividly as if they were just last week. We have lost another good man.
