Malake Aoun Assi, 97, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on the morning of January 22, 2025. Born on July 1, 1927, Malake lived a life full of grace, love, and devotion to her family and faith.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Moubarak Bechara Assi, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories. Together, they built a legacy of love and family that spans generations.
Malake was a devoted mother to her children, who will forever honor her memory: Robert Assi Sr. and his wife, Rita, along with their sons, Robert Assi Jr. and Ryan Assi; Fadi Assi and his wife, Salomi, with their sons, George Assi and his wife, Marissa, and Jason Assi; Yasmine Assi Mahfouz and her husband, Rachad, with their children, Yara Mahfouz Pappadis and her husband, Nicholas, and their daughters, Evelyn and Alexandra, Donna Mahfouz Fragata and her husband, Ryan, and Peter Mahfouz; Naji Assi; and Maroun Assi.
Malake is also survived by her dear sister, Ida Aoun, and joins her other siblings who have preceded her in passing.
Her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering strength will be deeply missed by her family, who will treasure the countless memories they shared with her.
Malake's legacy lives on in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life.
