

Manuel F. Wise, 90, longtime resident of Jacksonville, passed away June 25, 2012. He was born in Colorado City, Texas on March 13, 1922, son of the late Marvin and Cora Ann (Bledsoe) Wise. Manuel served in the US Navy during WWII and was stationed in Attu, AK. He worked in sales for General Electric and retired after many years of service. He was a faithful member of the Holiday Hills Baptist Church. Manuel was preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Helen Wood Wise and by his beloved second wife Myrtice Peele. Surviving are a son, Michael (Marilyn C.) Wise of Sitka, Alaska, a brother, Kenneth (Joyce) Wise, two grandchildren, Michael Lincoln Wise (Kelly), Stephen Yeager Wise (Emmanuelle) and many dear friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 29 from 6 8 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32207. The funeral will be Saturday, June 30 at Holiday Hills Baptist Church, 730 Mandalay Road, Jacksonville at 10:00 am. Dr. Albert Byrd will officiate.
