

Marcia B. Selmanoff, 67, passed away on August 3, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on February 8, 1944 in Far Rockaway, NY to the late Morris and Edith (Kaplan) Biller. Marcia worked as an Accountant for the Duval County Public Schools, retiring after 22 years. She was a member of the Jacksonville Jewish Center. She was a loving wife, mother, and granny. Marcia is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Alan Selmanoff. Additional survivors include her son, Scott Selmanoff (Leigh Anne); her daughter, Michelle Childers (Rodney); her 3 sisters, Phyllis Sprecher; Sue Ann Blumenthal (Bernie); and Barbara Yarbrough (Jim); her grandchildren, Zachary and Braxton Childers, Katie, Steven, and Lauren; her 2 great-grandchildren, Emilie and Claire; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 5, 2011 in the Etz Chaim section of Arlington Park Cemetery, 6920 Lone Star Rd., Jacksonville. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Marcia to the Jacksonville Jewish Center, 3662 Crown Point Rd, Jacksonville, or to the American Cancer Society 1430 Prudential Dr., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
