Margaret M Harden

Mrs. Margaret Harden, age, 89 passed away on November 21, 2014 at Emeritus in Jacksonville, FL, a native of Tuskegee, AL born on January 4, 1925 to the late William Mangum and Rebecca Smith Mangum. A 64 year resident of Jacksonville, she died Friday, November 21, 2014.

Mrs. Harden was a loving wife and mother. She was active in community affairs. Devoted to her church, Peace Presbyterian, she found great spiritual guidance and lasting friendships.

She was married to her husband, George Warren Harden, for 54 years until he passed in 2001. Survivors include daughter Becky and son-in-law, Jerry Cox, daughter Valerie Harden, all of Jacksonville; one sister Pauline Albright, Tuskegee, AL, two granddaughters Meredith Cox Smith (Michael Smith) of Lexington, KY and Allison Cox Baker (Beau Baker) of Atlantic Beach, FL.

The family will receive friends at the Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Chapel 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207 on Tuesday November 25, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM At the funeral home with Rev. Clayton Turner officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to VITAS Hospice, 7406 Fullerton St # 105, Jacksonville, FL 32256 or Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave 7th FL, NY, NY 10001.
