Margaret H. Ward

Margaret H. Ward, 86, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020 in Ocoee, Florida. She was born in Cobbtown, Georgia on September 30, 1933 to Wallace Dowd and Ella Burns-Dowd. She retired from Southern Bell after 34 years of faithful service and has been a resident of Jacksonville since 1952.

Margaret is survived by a daughter, Cindy Haas; a son, Mike Haas Sr.(Natalia); three sisters, Virginia Moseley, Shirley Cribbs and Mary Dowd; five brothers, Milton Dowd(Barbara), James Dowd(Joann), Elmer Dowd, Frank Dowd(Brenda) and Wallace Dowd, Jr.(Lynda); one grandson, Michael Haas Jr.(Jordan), and three great-grandkids.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Dewey H. Ward Jr.; her sisters, Jeanette Rich and Juanita Dowd; a sister in law, Barbara Dowd; and brother in law, Freddy Moseley.

Services are scheduled for this Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin at 940 Cesery Blvd. in Jacksonville. Visitation will be one hour prior to her service also in the Chapel.

Interment will follow the service at Greenlawn Cemetery at 12:30PM.
