It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude for her life well lived that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Nana, and cherished Friend, Marguerite Adelaide Rehm Morgan, who departed this world on June 26, 2025 at the age of 90.
Born on May 24, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, Marguerite (Marge/Margie/Nana) loved her family and friends deeply. She never knew a stranger. To know her was to love her. She enjoyed cooking, but she "loved" baking cookies! She made dozens for her grandchildren, neighbors, and her church prison ministry. She enjoyed puzzles & reading biographies, the classics, and her Bible. She also enjoyed the beach, and travel to places near and far. Her favorites were St Augustine Beach, Key West, Israel, Arc Encounter KY, Pocono Mountains PA, and the many trips she made with her church Joy Singers Choir to sing as guests in churches galore. Animals were a big source of Margie’s joy. From Baxter her bunny, a pair of lovebirds, Koi in her backyard pond, Cardinal mates who visited her backyard every year, and her favorite 11 year old papillon Gaston who sat with her on the right arm of her chair everyday. She was an artist like her mother before her, and her son Richard who followed in their footsteps. She discovered adult coloring books and enjoyed sharing dozens of pages she completed with her family and friends. She was an exceptionally grateful soul. She mailed thank you notes complete with her artwork for the slightest kindness.
To her children, grandchildren and housemates, Nana's laugh was contagious and she was known fondly for her quirky sense of humor and her hospitality.
Marguerite leaves behind a legacy of love, humility, quiet strength, gratitude, and kindness. She is survived by her sons, grandchildren, and her housemates:

Toby, Pam and Margie were known as the 3 Musketeer's by family and friends. She was like their mother, sister, and best friend. They will forever be grateful for the time they shared with her.
Margie's influence can be seen in the way all of her children, grandchildren and housemates carry her spirit as they live, love, and care for others. She was an inspiration to them all.
Though our hearts ache with her absence, a void we can never replace, we find comfort knowing she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who went before her. Her life was truly a blessing, her memory a treasure beyond measure, and she will be missed more than words can convey.
Rest well, sweet, sweet soul. You were, and always will be, deeply and fiercely loved.
