Maria Carmelita Seay Kelley

Maria, nostalgic by nature, loved telling stories and reminiscing about her life, often sharing memories from her extensive childhood travels as part of a military family. She cherished those experiences and took great pleasure in recalling special moments with her family.

Maria found peace by the beach and held a lifelong love for animals and music, welcoming and caring for animals throughout her life. Above all, she treasured her family, finding deep meaning and joy in time together.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Brogle (John Mark Jr.) and their children, Tripp and William Wesley; her son, John Wesley Kelley; and her niece, Miranda Seay.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley H. Seay and Carmelita Seay, and her brother, Wesley Carl Seay.



Maria will be laid to rest in Apalachicola, Florida, with a private burial. An open house celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, January 11. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Jacksonville Humane Society in her memory.
