HOBBS: Marianne “Molly” Hobbs passed peacefully on May 10, 2012 surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on April 21, 1925 in Carrickfergus, Ireland. In 1949, she met the love of her life while visiting the US, where she then decided to make her home. She resided in Jacksonville and thoroughly enjoyed her career as a loving wife, mother and “granny”. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Carl and her son Carlos. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her three daughters: Frances Hobbs, Ginny (Tim) Davis, Cathy (Roy) Taylor; her grandchildren: Chris (Kim), Kelly (Kevin), Larry, Andy, Matthew and Molly (Scott); and great-grandchildren: Autumn, Brayden, Brittany, Matthew, Nathan, and Lacey. She leaves behind a family that will always treasure her memory and carry on her philosophy of life “Tis loving and giving that makes life worth living”. There will be a visitation held from 12:00-2:00pm. Monday, May 14, 2012 in the Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be begin in the chapel at 2pm with burial to follow
