Marie was born on January 5, 1936 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Rufus James Dedmon and Julia Marie Marshall. She is preceded in death by her siblings, John “Sonny” Dedmon, Betty Jean Crummey, Jimmy Dedmon, and Debbie Dickinson, and her husbands, Michael Cerda and Edward “Andy” Anderson.
Marie is survived by her three children, Gloria Statham, Martin Cerda (Deb Hilla), and Michael Cerda (Maureen Cerda), seven grandchildren, Shannon Statham, Kelly Hansen, Ashley Bower, Michael Cerda, Christopher Cerda, Katie Cerda, and Melissa Cerda, and her siblings, Dottie Strobridge, Dicky Bowden, and Roxanne Balkovic. Also known as Mom and Nana, Marie will be remembered always for her strong will and lively spirit.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32211.
