Marie Groom Bresson

Marie Groom Bresson. Age 85 of Westminster Woods Julington Creek, died on 3rd of April, 2020. Born December 21, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio to Helene Mitchell and Thomas Groom, wife of Richard Bresson since September 1, 1958, mother of Phillip (Nancy), Theresa Levy (Philip), and Michelle Bresson. Grandchildren Bernard Levy, Marie-Claire Levy, Daniel Bresson (of blessed memory) and Joseph Bresson. After graduating from the College of St. Mary of the Springs (now Ohio Dominican University) Marie started her nursing career at Mt. Caramel Hospital in Columbus then moved to Rochester, NY where she received her MS in Nursing from U of R. She worked in community health, was a professor at Brockport State College of NY and a visiting nurse supervisor. She was a kind and capable caregiver and helped many people throughout her career. The youngest of five (Joseph, Patricia, James and Helene “Sally” all of blessed memory) Marie loved her family and was passionate about healthy living. She enjoyed traveling internationally and spending summers in Mabou Mines, Nova Scotia. Those who knew and loved her will miss her cackle, the sparkle of mischief in her eyes and her generous spirit. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice of NE FL and Doctors without Borders.
