Marie L. Cantarini

Marie Lucille Cantarini went home to her eternal resting place with her beloved husband Rudy. She was born February 15, 1933 in Vineland, NJ to the late Lucy and Leger Marcoux. A mass will be held 12:00pm Saturday July 11, 2020 at San Jose Catholic Church, 3619 Toledo Rd. She grew up in Vineland, New Jersey and loved to meet others from her cherished home state. After graduating from St. Peters Hospital nursing school in New Brunswick, NJ she and a friend headed to Miami Beach, FL to start their nursing careers. She met her future husband there, got married in 1957 and then started their life together where they had four children. She worked as a nurse in Daytona Beach, FL while raising 3 children. After her 4th child they moved to Jacksonville, FL and she then stayed home to care for her family. Once the youngest was in middle school, she pursued her love of nursing and caring for others in a general surgeon’s private practice. It is easy to say that she was a very selfless mother, friend, and nurse; it was her genuine nature to put others needs ahead of her own. Marie is survived by her four children; William Cantarini of Austin, TX, son; Paul and Sue Cantarini of Salt Lake City, UT, son and daughter-in-law; Joanne and David Bane of Jacksonville, FL, daughter and son-in-law; Lisa and Alan Simone of Jacksonville, FL, daughter and son-in-law. Two granddaughters: Carly Cantarini of Salt Lake City, UT and Grace Simone of Jacksonville, FL. The family extends utmost appreciation and gratitude toward the loving caregivers at Greenhouse Residences of Bartram Lakes memory care.
