I met Marie and her mother when they were looking for a home in Jacksonville, Fl. I found them the house they are in. They were two of the nicest people. I would often see Marie, after her mother passed away at the Y and at our Garden Club and at St Joseph’s church. She was a very nice person. I will miss seeing her. I know she’s in Gods hands. Blessings to her family.

I certainly will miss Marie-Therese Boyer, when she goes to her eternal rest tomorrow near her parents. She was a wonderful and caring friend and proved her friendship by so many ways.

I met Marie in the very late 1980's when I started working at JPL and a couple years later I worked with her at the Southeast Branch. We had so many similarities and interests in common and our friendship developed and kept over the years. We liked talking about our European mothers and our upbringing.

After our retirement Marie and I joined the Mandarin Woman's Club and attended many interesting and informative meetings and luncheons there as well as our own monthly lunches.

Yes, I will miss my friend Marie-Therese.

I will miss Marie - the little "German Lady" as the KR patrons would call her. We would always correct them and say, "She's French".
Marie never went to a rock concert and wanted to see U2 and she asked me to go with her. I had a blast and she was happy that night.
I too remember her setting her table for dinner - with a center piece, her china, cup, etc. She said to me once, "You should always set your place and eat proper." I still haven't done this for lunches at work, but will now have to in her memory.
I will miss you Marie - you were such a wonderful person to talk with and sit outside with you while your smoked your cigarettes.
Rest In Peace my friend - until we meet again.

I enjoyed working with Marie Boyer at the Southeast Branch Library. She was the first person I met and she trained me to do everything the "Marie" way which was the right way :) I recall her putting out a very nice place setting for herself (fine china, a coffee cup, silverware) in our breakroom for lunch each day.

Marie was one of the first librarians that I met when I started working at the Southeast Library. Once I became accustomed to her quick wit and stopped being afraid of her no-nonsense style, I just loved her and learned so much from her. I am so sorry for your loss - I miss her already.
