Marion L. Golden-White, age 69 passed over to the lord on Tuesday, April 12, 2023. She is survived by her husband, Jerry White, her daughter Tracie Liptrot (Corey), and four grandchildren (Tamia, Chris, Cameron, and Bryan (B.J.). She also leaves her brothers: Charles (Laurene), and Early; sisters: Novella, Mary, Gloria, and Josephine. She was preceded in death by her sister Vonzie (Floyd), and brothers Martin (Debbie), Johnny (Sonia), Joe (Doll), and Walt (JJ). She will be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and other family, and friends.
Born in Statesboro Georgia, and a graduate of Raines High School class of 71, she worked at prudential for over 10 years... and was injured on the job; but through god’s grace, her injury led her into self-rehabilitation with exercise and later turned this into a full time business of her own, which she called Golden Traveling Exercise. During this time, she also entered into a partnership as Co-owner of a local grocery store off Myrtle Avenue in Jax, Fl., and then ventured into her on store off 32nd St. in Jax, Fl. An entrepreneur to heart, she was featured in Black Entrepreneur Magazine in the 90s. Upon her passing, she continued her entrepreneurship with the ownership of two real estate properties in Jax, Fl., and a fruit stand and another 4-acre property in Vidalia, Ga. She was known for running and exercising through the neighborhood with her pit bull dogs and riding around in her red convertible sports car... she ran 4-5 miles daily and kept fitness, the love of her family, and God as a priority. She loved to work out and go to the gym, which is where she met her first and only husband Jerry White. She was flashy and made a statement everywhere she went. She was a diva before the word Diva developed... as she grew older she went from Diva to overly old fashion.... she had her grand son hook up her VCR and DVD player about a month before she passed... and she used them both... she never had wifi.... yet was still super cool....She was humorous, blunt, and loved to be the life of the party. Most of all she loved her family... with such a huge family she made sure she stayed in touch with all family and made sure everyone knew her child Tracie. She loved her grandchildren and would travel anywhere to see them. Her grandkid moved to Germany and oh yes she came to Germany. As her kids grew older, she grew an immense love for her great niece Kyliegh Coleman that she treated as her own. She was big about holidays and occasion and was sure to stick a sweet potato or grapefruit in gift bags for any occasion. Her biggest love was for the lord, she loved to sing gospel with her brothers, and felt doing so was so hilarious because she song horribly.. She was always the first one on the mic.... She was known for classic words like "sharp" and "spodie."She always said Grace Baptist Church was her mother and family's home and that it would always be her home... and today her body is home and her soul is with the Lord that she loved.
