Mark McMath Ware, born January 6,1954 of Jacksonville went to be with those that have gone before on Sunday, June 16, 2019. Mark was predeceased by his father Walter Estes Ware Sr. and his mother Mary Lois White Ware. He is survived by his wife, “Lovie” Jerri Lea (Reynolds) Ware; son, David Epaminondas Ware; sister, Jennifer Lee Ware (Andra); brothers, Walter Estes Ware Jr. (Penny), and Christopher White Ware (Cindy).
We were blessed to have Mark's expertise during his 65 years of life. A carpenter, building bridges, homes, and churches in Jacksonville and foreign lands. Owner and founder of an audio video services company where he set up sound systems, filmed surgeries and traveled to document glorious activities on mission trips. As an entrepreneur at heart he operated several small businesses including an apiary and organic farm. He truly was a Jack of all trades. If you had a need he would find a way to fix it. Even in the last year, he purchased a tractor to work on church and school grounds alike; he was always full of ideas that would serve the local community.
Mark saw everyone as his biblical neighbor. He enjoyed giving hats to the homeless standing in the heat of summer and regularly helped those stranded on the side of the road. Quick to offer food, money, or a prayer, Mark wanted to be the hand of hope extended to those in need.
Mark desired to be outdoors. He spent many hours puttering in the yard, sitting on the porch waiting for the early morning dawn to peak over the horizon, and stocking bird feeders meticulously maintained and placed for “Lovie's” viewing pleasure. He collected tools and equipment of all kinds, seeing himself as a tool library of sorts. Speaking of which, the library was a place he always was happy to visit.
As we know, Mark walked to the beat of his own drum; convention was not something he often observed yet would bow to tradition when it came to those he cared for. He could be uncomfortable in conversation but continually carried a song in his heart, often humming as a way to fill the silence and even bursting out with “O what a beautiful morning...”, James Taylor, or any hymn that came to mind.
Mark loved life and had so much to do and so many plans to complete he was disappointed when those things slipped beyond his reach, but Oh the joy he had knowing he was going to be with his Savior and see the glories of heaven... Joy and Peace eternal.
We will miss our beloved, irreplaceable Mark, husband, father, friend, but know he is walking and leaping and praising God. Know that the joy of the Lord was Mark's strength and wishes it yours as well. Please join us for Mark's celebration of life at Evangel Temple Assembly of God, Monday, June 24, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service. In Mark's memory the family ask that you make a donation to Evangel Temple Assembly of God, Park City Baptist Church, a local shelter, or help the one you next see in need of a tool, food or a hat.
“Man’s days are determined; you (God) have decreed the number of his months and have set limits he cannot exceed” (Job 14:5).
