

COFFEY - Marty Deane Coffey, 50, of Callahan, passed away June 27. He was born September 25, 1965 in Orlando, Florida. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He had been in the trucking business most of his life and was currently employed with Old Dominion Truck Lines in Jacksonville. Marty was the kind of person that would help anybody, anytime, whether they were family or not. He never met a stranger. Everyone loved him. He had a stern way about him but had a gentle heart. He loved the Florida Gators and watching NASCAR. He also enjoyed racing dirt bikes when he was younger. Above all, he loved his family and really enjoyed his grandchildren!
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Sandy; two sons Brandon Coffey of Callahan and Andy Perry of St. Petersburg; one daughter Ashley (Austin) Hittinger of Yulee; four grandchildren Kate-Lynn, Kaleab, Roslynn and Cole; his parents Richard and Dale Coffey of Callahan; His brothers Mitchell Coffey and Mark (Lisa) Coffey; a sister Michelle Coffey; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 30 from 6-8 p.m. at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue, Jacksonville. A viewing will also be held one hour prior (10 a.m.) to the funeral service Friday, July 1 at 11 a.m. at Celebration Church, 9555 R.G. Skinner Parkway, Jacksonville.
