

He was born in New York, New York. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and New York City Community College with an associate of arts and sciences degree. Marvin retired from two careers in service of his country. He retired at the rate of Station Keeper Chief after twenty six years in the United States Navy. One of his early tours was on board a destroyer enforcing the naval blockade during the Cuban missile crisis. He also retired from a career as a civilian employee of the Department of Defense working at NADEP NAS Jacksonville, and at the Trident Refit Facility Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia. He was a lifelong blood donor. Marvin enjoyed square dancing, dining out, watching football, and spending time with his family and pets.
Marvin is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Levine and his son, Joel Levine.
A visitation for Marvin will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223. A funeral service will occur Monday, September 20, 2021 from 11:00 AM, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223.
A committal service with military honors will occur Monday, September 20, 2021 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
