Mary Elizabeth Booth, 88, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on December 12, 2018. She was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on September 23, 1930. Mary graduated from Loretto School for Girls and received her high school diploma. She was married to Albert Franklyn Booth (deceased) in 1960 and they were together for 33 years.
Mary worked as an executive secretary for Canadian Canners and National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA). She was a faithful member of the Catholic Church and had a passion for baking, decorating for the holidays, fine dining and good wine. She also enjoyed traveling and art. Mary loved spoiling her grand-children and had a special place in her heart for animals. In fact, she adopted a dog and four cats in her later years.
She is survived by her daughters Anna Jean Booth-Lariviere (Kevin Lariviere), Margaret Elizabeth Booth-Saba (Marc Saba), and grand-children Ethan Booth Lariviere and Kaila Monique Lariviere.
A Visitation will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, December 19, 2018, with the Funeral Service to follow at 2:00pm, and will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207. There will be a committal service immediately following her service outside of the funeral home at Greenlawn Cemetery.
