Born on March 3, 1942, in Norristown, Pennsylvania, Mary was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Stella McGuigan. A proud graduate of Bishop Kendrick High School, she went on to hold various jobs throughout her life, but the roles she cherished most were being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Mary had a heart for hospitality and was the joyful center of many family picnics and gatherings, often held at her home. She was known for her delicious home-cooked meals—especially her homemade sauerkraut, a fall festival tradition. Her many talents included cooking, crafts, and above all, loving her family unconditionally.
Mary had a generous spirit and a strong sense of compassion. She was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. While she often said she wasn’t perfect, those who knew her would say she was an angel on earth—always finding the positive in any situation and spreading warmth wherever she went.
A woman of deep faith, Mary was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Terrace for making her final months both comfortable and meaningful.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Faulkner; her six children: Dawn (Mike) Andvick, Laureen (Dennis) Hallowell, David (Wendy) Faulkner, Jennifer (Pete) Boll, Kylene (Mark) Frailey, and Nicholas Faulkner; 11 cherished grandchildren; and 7 adored great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters: Rosemary Boyer, Veronica Rooks, Elisa Selvoski, and Bridget Warfield; and her brothers: Thomas McGuigan and Terrance McGuigan.
Mary's legacy of kindness, strength, and love will live on through the many lives she touched.
