Mary Lee Waltrip Heissler, 62, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and friends on July 25, 2020 after a three year battle with cancer. Mary was born September 1, 1957. Before retiring, she spent her life as a hair dresser as one of her contributions to making America great again. She also loved spending time with family and friends on the back porch with her orchids and tropical flowers. Mary is survived by her husband, Russell Heissler of Jacksonville; daughter, Jessica Jones (Chad) of Jacksonville; son, Keith “KC” Heissler (Dillon) of Jacksonville; two grandchildren, Noah and Logan; three siblings, Susan (Terre), Eddie, Clint (Mike); ‘bestest friend’, Cindy Jacob (Pete) of Ponte Vedra Beach; many nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.

I met Mary with my former husband Robin Yerdon & we became friends immediately. Her smile, laughter, love of life and family were inspiring. She because my hairdresser and I followed her everywhere in town during those years - she was a top notch professional in her trade & I looked forward to her engaging personality and fun stories we told each other throughout the many years. I was blessed to have known her and considered her a dear friend. May her family find peace in the memories and know she was loved by so many. Xoxo

Mary was one of the nicest folks I have ever known. Always smiling and laughing. Gave our youngest son, Aubrey, his first haircut. I know her family will miss her.

I met Mary through Cindy Jacob. I remember her at parties, but I really got to know Mary when she became my hairdresser of 20 years. We shared stories of life and I appreciated Mary's strong convictions, faith and opinions. Mary absolutely adored her husband, children, grandchildren and close friends. I have missed Mary so much since she retired, and I miss her even more today. The video tribute is beautiful and depicts the strong connections Mary made throughout her life on Earth. Mary, you touched many. I love you.

I remember Mary when she was going to tech. She was the best looking married woman to ever ride a school bus. Mary cut my hair for me decades and for decades she teased me about how rigid and hard my ears are and I would reciprocate with teasing her about her big ole feet. Mary and her posse where always a blast to party with and he personality was one of a kind. I will miss her as will many and my prayers and deepest condolences are with her immediate and extended family and friends.

Mary really knew how to love life to the fullest!
She loved our girl’s trips to the keys(way back in the old days) and was always organizing the next fun thing to do! She was my hairdresser for all these years as well. She will be missed physically but will always live in my heart. She was a real jewel.
The pictures from the family are a wonderful depiction of her life. Always smiling and joking!
My condolences to all her family and Cindy.
Every time you have a memory of her, she is with you at that moment.

One of the most beautiful care free loving people I have known! Her love for life and fun was much to be desired. Her love for her family was admired! May her memory and positivity live on in her family. She touched me with that laugh! Goodness, that laugh could make anyone laugh! God bless all y’all family. Smile in knowing that your girl is a memory in my life 25 years after our time together! God gained a true angel! Hugs and kisses to all of you family folks! A toast to that beautiful Mary!❤️😭
