Mary Frances Keane

Mary Frances (Johnston) Keane was born on January 13, 1959. She was a long time resident of Jacksonville and a graduate of Florida State University. Mary passed away peacefully on March 5, 2021 at her residence with her loving husband Tom by her side.

Mary loved to travel. She spent time abroad, went on many cruises and enjoyed meeting new people.

She had a great passion for bringing family and friends together for food and fun. She was an organizer of her growing circle of loved ones.

Mary started her career at EDS and spent 30+ years at Florida Blue. She retired in 2015 as a Director in IT. After retiring Mary spent countless hours helping those less fortunate by volunteering her time with Catholic Charities, the Food Pantry, United Way and helping senior citizens.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frances and William Johnston, brothers William and James, mother-in-law Marcella Keane, sisters-in-law Sister Nancy Keane, SSJ, Kathy Keane and Pat Keane Williams.

Mary is survived by the love of her life, her husband Thomas Joseph Keane and his children Christopher (Carla) and Kimberly Keane (Jamie); 3 grandchildren Cameron (Alexis), Caitlynn, and Cody; 2 great grandchildren; 3 brothers Frank (Jan), Michael (Anne) Thomas (Mary Beth) Johnston and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Betsy and Nancy Johnston; brothers-in-law John (Lynda) and Michael (Kim) Keane and extended Keane family, which include the Cannaday relatives from Indianapolis and many Keane relatives from Galway, Ireland.

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Arrangements under the care of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd, Jacksonville, Fl. 32211, 904-744-8422
