Mary Nell Mangham

Mary Nell Mangham peacefully went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Mary Nell (age 94) was born in Cordele, Georgia on November 29, 1926. Predeceased by her loving husband Henry Mangham, her brother Adrian Dowdy, her sisters Seleda Chuba, Martha Ruth Fowler, Juanita Kleckley, and her grandson Mark Mangham. Lovingly remembered by her brother Dalton Dowdy, two adoring sons Travis Mangham and Earl Mangham (Kathy), her grandchildren Greg Mangham, Renee Dunlap (Derek), and Julie Dooley (Michael), and great-grandchildren Kendall Dooley, Presley Dunlap, Cruz Dunlap, and Layla Dunlap. Throughout her long life, she was also blessed to be surrounded by many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Mary Nell had a passion for cooking from a young age and looked forward to any opportunity to cook for family and friends. Her big smile and laugh along with her signature dishes will be remembered by all of her loved ones who were blessed to enjoy them for many years. She was a proud member of the Heckscher Drive Community Club. Over the years she treasured her church family at Dinsmore Baptist Church and Heckscher Drive Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 24, 2021, 12 - 1 pm at Corey Kerlin Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm at Restlawn Memorial Park, 2600 Ribault Scenic Drive in Jacksonville. Tammy Denmark will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. John’s Riverkeepers as one of Mary Nell’s favorite views was her back yard where she spent many hours over the years fishing, catching crab, and watching the boats pass by.
