Mary Elizabeth Marks, age 85, passed away on March 13, 2017 at the McGraw Center for Caring Community Hospice in Jacksonville, FL. She was born on June 27, 1931 in Corning New York to Joseph and Mary Sharpe Thompson.
She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee .
She has been a resident of the Jacksonville area most of her adult life.
She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Marks.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Folkner (Buddy) of Jacksonville, Fl, Layne Downes (Bobby) of Grey Forest, TX and five grandchildren, Hannah, Jonathan, Daniel, Brennen, and Bo.
A visitation will be on Monday March 20, 2017 from 10:00am to 11:00 am with a celebration of her life at 11:00am at the Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32207.
Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.
