Mary Geraldine "Jerry" Palmer

Mary Geraldine (Jerry) Palmer, loving mama and grandmama, went home to be with the Lord on April 16, 2013 after 84 years of service. She passed peacefully at home with her devoted children by her side. Jerry was born March 17, 1929 in Leesburg, Florida. She was employed as a judicial assistant by the State of Florida for 30 years until her retirement in 1995. She loved the Lord, her church family, and was a devoted wife and mother.

Jerry is predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Hollis H. Palmer, her grandson Michael Hollis Palmer, her brother Abbot Curtis Perkins Jr, and her sister Dorothy Smith. She is survived by her adored children Hollis Jr. (Nancy), Janet P. (Alfred) Scott, Lori P. (Bill) Warden, and Stephen B. Palmer; sister Shirley Waters; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Family will be accepting friends from 5 to 7 pm on Thurs., April 25 at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville.

Funeral Service will be held on Fri., April 26 at 10 am at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mandarin Cemetery.
