Mary Anna Strickland

Mary A. Strickland left her earthly home on November 14, 2015 to be with her Lord in heaven. She was born in Nashville, TN on July 11, 1919 to Mary and Robert Rose. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.

Mary is survived by her only daughter Juanita Buchanan, her sister Grace West and brother Harry Rose. In addition, she is survived by 3 granddaughters Cheryl Smartt, Marla Buchanan and Karla Wooten, 9 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Mary was employed at St. Joe Paper Company for 35 years. She was a dedicated and faithful employee to Mrs. Alfred I. DuPont and Edward Ball.

Mary will be remembered for her deep faith and compassionate heart that she shared with many as a volunteer in the Intensive Care Unit at Memorial Hospital.

She was small in stature but bigger than life when it came to loving her family.

We will miss the way she tenderly cared for each one of us in her own unique way.

The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00 in the morning in the chapel at Greenlawn Cemetary located at 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, Fl 32207. Family will receive friends and family at 10:00 prior to the service.
