My dearest Uncle Max, you were the best Uncle a niece could ever ask for.  Many, many memories growing up as a little girl to an adult that I will treasure always.  You were one of the most influential people in my life.  I will miss you dearly.  When I came to visit from Maryland you would always greet me with a big hug and a kiss and ask "how are you doing darling" and how was your trip? Oh how I will miss that when walking in your door now.  You always cared and loved, especially "my guts"!!! I would call on the phone and you said, "I saw your beautiful daughter on tv again, (still to this date, I don't know who this person is), but that is ok because you always were thinking of her.  Always thoughtful/loving and a caring gentleman.  You will be missed dearly.  I love your guts.  Rest in peace my favorite Uncle.

I met you for the first time when I was 17 when my Aunt Mickey married your son Alan and from day one I was  treated like one of the family. I am truly blessed to have had you in my life because you left behind some amazing people that will always be my family. They learned from you and mama what a true family really is. I love and miss you pop! You are one of a kind.

Pop! I just wanted to thank you for teaching me how to be a better man- a man with dignity, a man who keeps his word, a man who's proud of my work, no matter what I do. 
 And I am sorry- sorry that I couldnt spend more time with you, sorry that I dont remember every word you sayed, sorry that I dont remember every joke you said and I am sorry that you are gone- and with that is gone your unconditional love and support!

Pop! I could sit here for days and write nothing but amazing stuff about you. You we're an incredible person and such a loving grandfather. Words cannot describe how much I will miss you but I know for certain that you are in such a better place looking down with my mom and smiling. You have created such a wonderful family that I am so grateful and proud to be apart of. The best part is we never leave each other sides and you were the one who started that. We can all honestly say that each and everyone one of us had a special bond with you. My most favorite memory that I will miss the most is messing up your hair. I remember always telling you since I was a little kid "Pop, you have something in your hair let me get it out." and you would just smile and laugh. That's another thing I will miss, is that big, warm smile and that infectious laugh. You touched the lives of everyone you came in contact with and that's such an amazing thing. I just want to tell you that I love you, good lookin' and your memory will live on through our family forever. You were nothing short of an amazing man, Pop and I'm so lucky to be able to call you my grandfather. This isn't goodbye because I know I'll see you again one day and you'll have that big hug and bright smile ready for me like you always did.

My Dearest Pop, You were the best of the best in everything, you have left me with so many happy and wonderful memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I remember the times you stood me on your feet and we would dance, the times you played hide and go seek with all of us, the times you would warm my hands when I came in from playing in the snow.The times I would fall and you would pick me back up. As I got older I would come to you for advice, never to judge me but always to help me no matter how big or how small, day or night. You my wonderful dad taught me so much. We never needed Birthdays to know how special we were because in your eyes we were always special. I miss your sweet face especially when I come home from work and you're no longer in your chair sharing debbie cakes with Wyatt. I know you were tired and I understand God needed another angel. You left us a legacy to carry on an you taught us well, you and your beautiful wife together gave us the best gift ever and that was your love. I love you my sweet-face, wonderful Dad.

The kindest man I've ever known!!!!!  Pop took me under his wing when I really needed it and gave me nothing but love and laughs!!!!  I really miss the bear hugs he used to give me!!!!  Pop, I love you so much....you will be truly missed!!!!!

RIP Uncle Max. The the kindest, most gentle, funny and wise man I've ever know. So happy I got to share so many great memories with him & the family.

Pop always had a smile on his face anytime you saw him and I'm sure he is smiling in Heaven now.  All his illness is gone and he still looks down on all his family and is happy and well.  He's saving good seats for all his family members in anticipation of when they see him again.

I met Pops 4 months ago and from day one he has always treated me the same, as a family member.  He was a wonderful person and from what I have seen & been told, he indeed was a wonderful, loving man. I enjoyed when I walked in, he will always say "Hey Men", he will say that I was a good man but I say to Pops, you were a great man, a loving man.  I am going to miss "Hey Men" but I know that you are in a better place, no sadness, no sickness, no pain.  Till we meet again, you will be surely miss. You created a wonderful family and your legacy will live on thru them. I thank you personally for welcoming me into your home and treating me like I was part of the family.  May God Bless you and I know Heaven is rejoicing as you have come home to be with the Lord.  Till we meet again.  God Bless....

I know that this has been a sad week for the Stanfield family. I would just like to say that I seen Mr. Max Stanfield when I was young with I use to walk to school with his two kids. I later became friends from working with another one of his children David and I have to say that you did such a job with your kids. I thank you for providing me with a special person. I use to tell David to thank you for having him as well as his Mother. You and your wife make a great group of kids with lots of family. You two will always will be the core of your family. You will be greatly missed and I hope that the family can find comfort through theses hours of need in knowing that you are in a better place that has no sickness or sadness and we will all rejoice in seeing you again some day. My thoughts and prayers are with you always.
