Maxine Andrews Kelley

Maxine Andrews Kelley, age 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born on December 26, 1939 in the community of New River, Brooker, Florida to Cleo and Reddish Andrews. She graduated from Bradford High School and then moved to Jacksonville, Florida after graduation to start a career on her own. On November 27, 1958, she married Stephen E. Kelley of Brooker, Florida after meeting him at a local rodeo. Together they had two wonderful children. Stephen and Maxine were blessed with almost 61 full years of marriage, before Stephen passed away in 2019. Maxine was a wonderful mother and homemaker while the girls were young, but then worked in the real estate industry for over 30 years with Watson Realty Corp. She was an avid tennis player and loved being in the sun and water! As a realtor she was a multi-million dollar producer which gained her a designation in the Watson Realty Gold Pinnacle Club. She also served as a member of the Westside Business Leaders Association and remained an active member of the St. Johns Presbyterian Church throughout her adult life.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen (d. 2019). She is survived by her 2 daughters. Daughter Stephanie Coley and Steve and their 3 children Jacob and his wife Kimmie, Caroline, and Hannah.

Also survived by daughter Kristi Payne and Dan, and their 3 daughters Kelley, Leyton and Savannah. Maxine has one brother living, John Andrews. She is predeceased by her siblings Ervin Andrews and Gayle Hurst.

Services will be held Friday, August 1, 2025, 11am at New River Baptist Church, 16703 SW 144th Ave, Brooker, FL 32622. A family viewing will be held at 10am in the sanctuary and a luncheon for all family and friends will be held immediately following the graveside prayer.
