DAVIS—Melissa Annette Davis, 51, passed away Saturday, September 08, 2012. She was a native of Jacksonville native and a homemaker. She was a daughter of the late Joe and Francis Hess Adkins. Her surviving family includes: her husband, Donald Davis, her daughter, Starlit Davis; her son, Jeremiah Davis; her brother, Joe (Betty) Adkins; sisters, Jamie and Lori; grandchildren, Eric, Arianna and Joe; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. It was Melissa’s wish that she be cremated and her cremated remains be scattered. The family will have a ceremony to remember her at a later time.
