Mervet Jazrawi McGowan, 48, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 in Jacksonville, Florida. Mervet was born on August 30, 1973 in Baghdad, Iraq to Remon and Lorece Jazrawi. She came to the United States with her family in 1976. Mervet graduated from Bishop Kenny High School and worked as an office manager in the medical field. She met and married her husband, Sean in Jacksonville and they had two children, Ethan and Marisa. Mervet is survived by her parents, Remon and Lorece Jazrawi, husband, Sean, children, Ethan and Marisa, brother Danny (Jessie) and many extended family. Mervet was a warm hearted woman and everyone that knew her loved her and her infectious smile.
A Visitation will be held at St. Ephrem's Syriac Catholic Church, 4650 Kernan Blvd. S. on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11 a.m. followed by Mass at Noon. Burial will take place at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
